Sree 'Hosabettu' Mukhyapranadevara Mutt is located on the national highway NH-17. It is at a
distance of 18km from Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada dist.,Karnataka state.

It is well known that this Hanuman idol is installed by the Saint-gurus of  Sree Krishnapura mutt of Udipi about 400 years ago. Sree Krishnapura mutt is one of the eight mutts of Udipi. Many Saints of Udipi mutt used to stay and worship the lord while passing through this mutt. At that time the mutt was managed by the 'Hathwar' family. As the days passed, it got debilitated due to lack of proper  maintenance. Later, on the plea of local people  this mutt was renovated and re-installed by the Pejawar seer His Holiness Sree Visvesha teertha Swamiji on the 3rd March,1999.

 Here, this idol is 32 inches tall having all the 32 qualities. Abhisheka with thousands of  tender coconuts, Archana  along with Sahasra deepaalankaara Seva ,Rangapuja and Bhajan  activities will be performed to the Lord Hanuman in this mutt.

Many devotees visit this Mukhyaprana mutt and worship the lord.
