Panchamukha Pranadevaru : There is an idol of five Hanuman images which was worshipped by Pandavas. Madhu abhiskeka will be performed to this idol every year on the occassion of the Aradhane mahotsav of Sri Appavru.
Appavru : Shri Ibharampura Krishnacharya also known as ‘Appavaru'. His parents are Sri Ahobalacharya and Smt.Krishna Bai. He was born with the blessings of Sri Raghevendra Swamy, Mantralayam. The Coupe performed ‘Naga Prathishta’. Then they were.blessed with a child and named him 'Krishna'.
(As told by Sri Vishnuteerthachar, Appaavara Vamsheekaru).
As he grew up, he was not showing any interest in education and worshipping God. He used to spend time playing . As a child he used to go with his mother to attend the spiritual discourses by pandits. He used to react happily with joy whenever he listen to the bhagavata episodes such as Kamsavadha by Sri Krishna and he was crying sorrowfully when they narrate the episodes of Draupadi Vastrapaharana, Sri Rama vanavaasa etc. The parents were very much disappointed at the boys attitude. After gettine disgusted by the parents' behaviour and anger towards him, krishnacharya left them and went alone into a deep forest crying in solitude. An old man with glorious eminence on the face appeared before hom and wrote some letters on the tongue of krishnacharya. With that, Krishnacharya felt Aparokshagnana and fell on the feet of old man with happiness and gratitude. The Oldman revealed himself as Acharya Aswattama and blessed krishnacharya with all the celestial powers saying that Sri Guru Rayaru will bless him.
After that, Appaavaru with his aparokshagnana was able to tell the forecast( what will happen in future), cured diseases and relieved many devotees from poverty and showed the way of light in their life.
Appavarau travelled extensively all over India on pilgrimage to Kasi, Rameshwaram, Tanjore, Kumbakonam Srirangam, Tirupati etc.
Every year, 'Appaavara Aradhane Mahostava' will be celebrated for 3 days . Poorvaaradhane on Shravana Shuda Pratipadya , Madya Aradhane on truteeya and Uttara aradhane on chaturthi day
There will be a 'pallaki (Palaquin)'seva held on the second day of the 'Aradhane mohotsav' from Appaavara katte to the Hanuman temple which was installed by Appaavaru.
