Mahalakshmi Layout , also known as Mahalakshmipura is one of the biggest layouts where the Goddess Mahalakshmi temple is located in north-west Bengaluru, Karnataka state. It is very near to Rajajinagar and Basaveshwaranagar.

This is a very famous temple on a small hillock where Lord Hanuman idol is a 22ft tall,16ftwide and 4ft thickness monolith(statue which is carved out of a single massive rock ). It is also known as 'Golden Hanuman temple'.On 10-Jun-1985, a 6.5-ft gold plated copper Kalasham was installed on the Vimana gopuram of this temple.This temple was inaugurated on 07-Jun-1976 by Sri Kengal Hanumanthaiah, the then Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Here , an image of Giant Hanuman wearing a crown is carved on the massive rock looks very magnificent. holding the 'Sanjivini mountain' with his right hand and the 'maze' in left hand with  palm resting on his thigh. There is an impression of Lord Rama on his chest. He is adorned with a silver ear ring, a necklace,armlet and a bracelet. Lord's right leg is adorned with an ornament having a bell shaped pendant.

The area of the main temple is 40 * 40 sqft occupying 13 acres of land and the gopuram height is 41 ft.

 Many spiritual discourses and cultural programmes are also organised in this temple. There are marble idols of  Lord Sri Rama, along with  Seetha, Lakshmana and Anjaneya  consecrated in the area behind the Lord Hanuman statue. Also we can find the Lord Ganapathi and Goddess Lakshmi idols installed there. Every year 'Hanuman Jayanti' is celebrated on the day of 'Magha shuddha tryodashi'.

The temple trust offers free medical services to poor people. They have conducted many free eye checkup camps , thousands of cataract operations and dental treatment.they offer free food to the patients undergoing the treatment.

'Prasanna Veeranjaneya Swamy Temple' is very near to the ISKCON temple in Bengaluru.
