रामदूत अतुलित बलधाम अंजनिपुत्र पवनसुतनामा ||
'Jangaalapalli anjaneya swamy' temple is located in a place called 'Hanumantarayani dinne' on the way to Bangalore from Punganur town. It is at a distance of 2km from Punganur, Chittoor dist., Andhrapradesh. It takes about 3hrs. to reach Punganur from Tirupati. There is an arch on the way to the temple.
Here this idol is very magnificent, installed by the great Saint Sri Vyasarayaru, Rajaguru of the Vijayanagara empire.This is a very ancient temple located in a serene atmosphere surrounded by vast land and many tamarind trees. There is a big banyan tree in front of the temple and an ancient well inside the temple. Previously there were plenty of monkeys in this temple moving along with the pilgrims very friendly.
During 'Sri Ramnavami' festival Sitarama kalyanotsava will be performed along with many other special sevas. Many pilgrims will come and participate in this festival.There will be many shopping outlets during this time. During the reign of the Zamindar of Punganur, the temples in and around the Punganur town were maintained well.
Pilgrims whoever visits and have darshan of this Lord Hanuman with great devotion their desires get fulfilled.
