'Prasannanjaneya swamy' temple is located in Anjaneyaswamy temple street,Punganur, Chittoor dist., Andhrapradesh, It takes about 3hrs.to reach Punganur from Tirupati.

This is a very ancient temple built by the local devotees inspired by Lord Hanuman. During the course of time, a priest by name Sri Krishna dvaipaayanachar was performing the daily puja and special sevas during the festivals of Sri Ramanavami, Madhvanavami, Hanuman jayanti with great devotion. He made all his efforts for the renovation and development of temple activities. He worshipped Lord Hanuman in a highly spiritual way. Duriing the reign of the Zamindar of Punganur, all the temples in and around the Punganur town were maintained well.

It can be clearly seen that this deity is in the form of 'Avataratraya' (Hanuman, Bheema and Madhva). In the temple premises, there are several trees including the 'Parijata' tree, where Lord Hanuman resides. 

Here, 'Jwaladeepa' seva is being performed on the day of 'Kartika pournami'. Many devotees visit this temple during the months of Kartika and Sravana and seek blessings of the Lord Hanuman.
