The KATTE ANJANEYA SWAMY is believed to be installed by a Popular Madhwa Saint, VYASARAJARU. Sage VYASARAJARU is believed to have installed about 732 Idols of LORD HANUMAN in different parts of South India. This is one among them.
The idol of KATTE ANJANEYA SWAMY is about five foot tall. LORD HANUMAN is having a pleasent face which is facing towards east. The HANUMAN idol looks same as any other
HANUMAN's idol installed by Sage VYASARAJARU. The right hand is raised and the tail has a bel tied at the end. There is a demon that is shown crushed under the LORD's feet.This place is known as ALOORU, which is in Magadi Taluk, Ramnagar district which is close to bangalore.
